Overview
ASSETIP is a non-profit making association. The principle of the creation of ASSETIP was approved by the Government of Rwanda through the Cabinet decision on 26th January 2005 with the mission of managing some government projects with public interests and serve as Delegated Contract Manager for those projects in favour of public institutions, especially Local Government Entities.
Background
The Creation of Association d’Exécution des Travaux d’Intérêt Public (ASSETIP), was approved through Cabinet decision on 26th January 2005, with a mission to manage some Governments projects. Since the starting of its operations, quality assurance and cost effectiveness are the core values of ASSETIP
From 2005 to 2011 ASSETIP successfully managed in full delegation all contracts of Urban Infrastructure and City Management Project (UICMP/PIGU). However with the closure of this project, from end of 2011 to April 2014 ASSETIP became redundant.
On 14/04/2014 an agreement was signed between MININFRA, MINECOFIN, MINALOC and ASSETIP on General modalities of delegating contract management to ASSETIP in implementation of Infrastructure projects.
Mission
The mission is to be entrusted the management of some projects and serve as a Delegated Contract Manager for those projects in favour of public institutions, especially Local Government Entities.
Vision
The Vision of ASSETIP is to contribute to building a modern Rwanda characterized by sustainable investments in the domain of socio-economic infrastructure of public interest
Objective
The Objective of ASSETIP is to give its contribution in the national socio-economic development and poverty reduction programs in ensuring effective management of infrastructure projects of partners in the domain of infrastructure through the mechanism of "Delegated Contract Management"
